Trains. A song about trains. Recorded by Danielle Dispaltro at Stories Books and Cafe in Echo Park, Los Angeles. Stories is an awesome place with an emphasis on promoting creative endeavors of all shapes and sizes…This was a Dig Sow Reap night, a monthly musical spotlight on local musicians hosted by musician Ben Guzman.

This video for 2017’s Tiny Desk Contest was shot by my good friend and ceramic artist Jen King on Echo Park Lake in Los Angeles…I had just moved there just above the lake park, and decided that it was a perfect location to film the video for the song Cannonball. So we rented two boats and Jen filmed from hers, while Danielle Dispaltro peddled our cool red metal flake ship around the center of the lake!

Here’s a video I shot for the song The Last Fish, when I lived in Truckee, CA starring my wonderful friend Jenny Somers…A star is born for sure!

Late Blooming Rose (with Amelia Card) and Maverick and Juliene performed at Stories Books and Cafe. Echo Park, Los Angeles CA. 2018

Filmed for NPR's Tiny Desk Contest 2016...Up off Old HWY 40 above Donner Lake in Truckee, CA. It was about 15 degrees "warm," and the elevation was making me laugh uncontrollably...We got this in about three takes after I finally stopped laughing...Thanks to Jenny Somers for braving the cold and helping to carry all of our props to this treacherous site! Jenny did the filming too! It was an epic day...This song is dedicated to all of the "late bloomers" out there!

Filmed at The lost Church in San Francisco, CA. This was the last show on our 2019 MattPatJoey Nationwide Tour! We saw a lot of this amazing country from the inside of a Toyota 4 Runner. We met some really great folks, renewed old friendships, and still mostly liked each other at the other end of it all!
